Recently I have downloaded a software on my computer. When I tried to run the software it did not work. It displays a message saying "C:Program Filesmyprogramprogram.exe is not a valid Win32 application" . What could be the possible problem & solution to this.

Reasons behind "C:Program Filesmyprogramprogram.exe is not a valid Win32 application" I believe the problem is downloading a massive document over the internet, without the download accelerators just like "Free Download Manager", cause the downloading to destroy or incomplete download file.

After using the "Free Download Manager", the size of the file to be downloaded looks 470MB, which is apparently correct size of the file.. The particular downloads without FDM tool, appears to end quickly prior to the complete file is actually downloaded…

The error is on the file program.exe which was detected by Windows as an invalid Win32 application. The program.exe file is an executable file and it supposed to run if executed at the prompt or by double clicking with the mouse. You might first want to check if the application you downloaded is compatible to run on 32-bit operating system. The fact that Windows is looking for valid Win32 applications, it means that your system is 32-bit. And every time you launch an application your system looks for Win32-compatible executables. If the executable is a 64-bit application Windows will eventually generate an invalid Win32 application error which means the application is incompatible with your system. You might want to check the application’s documentation or its system requirements if it is allowed to run on your operating system.

But there is also the possibility that the application you downloaded is corrupted. If you really need to use the application you downloaded, might as well download it again from another website. Or else, just uninstall the application since it doesn’t work anyway.
