Hey, the steps for the windows 8 hard drive encryption is as follows:

• First verify the OS by going to the control panel
• Next search for the gpedit.msc
• Now enter the bit locker over the windows search charm
• Next turn on the bit locker
• Now insert the USB over the systems and follow the steps
• Next recover the key and back up the sources as well
• Next chose the part of the drive to encrypt the same.
• Now run the bit locker for the systems check box for the verifications
• Restart the systems to get the effects.
• Later remove the USB and restart the PC as well.
