This error is caused by a content filter or keyword filter and if you are getting this then your parents probably set this since it is a feature available in the Verizon network. It only affects wireless connections and doesn’t affect computers that are connected via Ethernet connection. It is a free content filter service provided by Verizon Wireless to its customers.

Customers can access the MyVerizon website to identify content filters for their own handset as well as other phones that were associated to their account. It is only the primary phone number connected with the account that is allowed by Verizon to change the content filter settings. This is done to ensure that children will not attempt to deactivate a content filter set by a parent.

To change the content filter settings, visit MyVerizon Wireless and login to your account using your cell phone number and MyVerizon account password. Once logged in, navigate to My Services tab then click Verizon Safeguards in the dropdown menu. Select Parental Controls tab and then Content Filters tab. This shows the active content filters.

Click Edit Filters then uncheck the filter that you would like to deactivate. Click Submit to save the changes. Additionally, logging in to MyVerizon using a different phone number that is not the primary account number will cause Verizon Safeguards to not display when accessing My Services tab.
