I reformatted my laptop from a windows 7 Operating System and installed an Windows XP Operating System. I installed all the drivers from before and everything was fine except for one thing. I see an error in one of my devices saying:
"Video Controller (VGA Compatible)" is not installed”
I can’t seem to find the driver for it. I’m using a Compaq Evo N500b Laptop.

Hi,
I can help you fix the issue on your Laptop. I suggest you to follow these troubleshooting steps to fix the issue:
>>If you have the driver CD or DVD that came with your Compaq laptop, insert it in your CD drive.
>>When the Auto play begins, select the display driver and click on “Install”.
>>It will install the display driver onto your computer.
In case if you don’t have the installation disc, follow these steps:
>>Right click “My Computer” and select “Properties”.
>>Select “Device Manager” which is located on the top left side of the menu.
>>Now select “Display Adapters” and right click it and select “Drivers”.
>>Click on “Update Drivers”.
>>You’ll have the option to search and download the latest driver.
>>You should have an internet connection to perform the download.
>>It will update your driver to the latest version.
