VirtualBox Extension Pack on Ubuntu 10.10 x64

Hello experts,

I want to install a Virtual Box Extension Pack on my laptop with Ubuntu 10.10 and it results an error code. I searched on the Internet for this error code and nothing useful was found. Any solution for this error ? Can any tell me why is not working ?

VirtualBox Extension Pack on Ubuntu 10.10 x64

Hello,

Installing the VirtualBox Extension Pack requires something else as you’re running Ubuntu 10.10 x64. In order to complete the installation, you have to do the task via Terminal using command lines.

 

1. Press “Ctrl + Alt + T” to open Terminal.

2. Type and hit Enter the following commands:

sudo chmod 744 /usr/lib/virtualbox/VBoxExtPackHelperApp

sudo /usr/lib/virtualbox/VBoxManage extpack install OracleVMVirtualBoxExtensionPack-4.0.4-70112.vbox-extpack

 

Hope your VirtualBox Extension Pack installed successfully.
