I uninstalled my anti-virus software completely and tried to install VMWare's vSphere client on my Windows Vista machine.  I downloaded the client from web using my ESXi server but Windows Vista did not proceed successfully. For the record, I tried to install VMware-viclient-all-4.1.0-345043.exe.Â
My ESXi server is running ESXi 4.1 update 1, while my Windows machine has Vista 32-bit and it is installed with .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.
Please advise me for whatever the cause of these issues. Thanks ahead.
[VMWare] Unable to install vSphere client on Windows Vista Machine
There are few things that you need to see first before installing the VMWare vSphere on your machine. These are very vital things that need to be done if you are using any latest windows after the XP.

First you said that you download it from the ESXI server so I would suggest changing the source of the download and using the link below that I am providing. It is the official link to the download of the client.

Now try to install using this download.

Also make sure that you have all the administrative privileges when doing the installation. Before installation right click on the exe file and Run as Administrator.

There is also a list of compatibility issues that is being addressed in this PDF.
