Hello Sjohn,

You should be able to use Android Messenger on Page Plus without any issue. It works very well without a data plan. The best version you should get is Android 2.2, it allows you to easily turn data on and then off. But you can still install a lower version of Android and then later on upgrade it to the version 2.2.

You can subscribe to a suitable plan that suits your needs, for instance you can choose to use the $29.95/month plan. With that, you can be able tot 1200 min, 2000 text, as well as 100 mb data. If you want to activate the phone, you can just call Page Plus customer service and they will help you with that.

Regards,

Carl

There are many different models of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Smartphone and one is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is a 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies. It was announced to the public on November 2009 and released on March 2010. Unfortunately, this is a discontinued model and is no longer being manufactured.

It measures 119 x 63 x 13 millimeters and weighs 135 grams. It uses a mini-SIM card. It has a TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 65K colors at 480 x 854 pixels screen resolution. It is protected by Scratch-resistant glass with Timescape/Mediascape UI support.

It runs on Android 1.6 Donut upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered by Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon S1 chipset, 1.0 GHz Scorpion processor, and Adreno 200 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 32 GB. It runs on 384 MB RAM with 1 GB internal storage. The primary camera supports 8 megapixels with LED flash and autofocus support.

The primary camera features face/smile detection, geo-tagging, and touch focus and can record video in w480p at 30 fps and 720p at 30 fps via SW update. It doesn’t have a secondary camera. It has 3.5-millimeter jack; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g with DLNA and hotspot support; Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support; GPS with A-GPS support; and microUSB 2.0. It doesn’t have stereo FM radio.

It has built-in accelerometer, compass, and proximity sensors. The pre-installed web browser supports HTML with Adobe Flash support. It supports Java via Java MIDP emulator. It runs on removable BST-41 Li-Po 1500 mAh battery with standby time up to 415 hours on 2G and 425 hours on 3G. Talk time is up to 10 hours on 2G and 8 hours on 3G.

It is available in Luster White and Sensous Black colors. I don’t think you will have a problem using an Android messenger with Page Plus because Page Plus is only a prepaid cell phone service provider and not a gadget that needs compatibility. As long as the Android messenger is compatible with your device, there should be no problem.

This model runs on the second to the oldest version of the Android mobile operating system and I’m not sure if there is still a messenger compatible with this version. Just visit Google Play and search for a messenger. It will automatically list available messengers compatible with your phone.
