Want to enable suspend mode after video VLC
Hi Mark,
To solve an annoying problem that is present in your PC, you have to follow these steps:
-
Open VLC Player. Click on Tools -> Preferences.
-
At the bottom left space, Show Settings, Click ALL.
-
Now in the Advanced Tab put a check by "Inhibit Power Management Daemon During Playback".
-
Now In the Video Tab, put a check by "Disable Screensaver".
Now try to play any video and see the result. Sleep mode should be disable now and your videos will play continuously.
Best wishes to you.

I think this problem is only in the old version if you are referring to the computer’s screensaver. In the new version, screensaver is disabled by default. To fix the problem, download the latest VLC media player. The latest version at the moment supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10.
Now, if the problem is that your computer goes to sleep even while you are watching a video, the problem is in the power settings of Windows. Click “Start,” “Control Panel” then “Power Options.” If you don’t see this, set view to “Small icons.” On the next screen, click “Change when the computer sleeps” on the left pane.
On the next screen, in “Put the computer to sleep,” select “Never” then click “Save changes.” This should prevent the computer from going to sleep mode or standby mode after a couple of minutes.
