I want to know whether the ‘MS-Publisher’ opens in ‘Open Office’ or not, because one of my friends is using ‘Open Office,’ and I really like it. So I also installed the same. However, I have doubts with the support of the file format. Anybody knows it?

Want to know if MS Publisher opens in MS Office
Hello Baby Crane,
Tot the best of my knowledge, there is no other means of opening .pub files apart from Publisher which is a windows application.
However, you can use another means to open the file. You will need to convert Publisher files to Microsoft .doc files by using an application called Zamzar which you can download for free from the internet.
You will use Zamzar to convert the files to the .doc format and once the files are in that format you will be able to open successfully in open office. Unlike a word document that has some working conversion that enables opening of the word document in open office, like using the cross over publisher does not have a conversion that I know of yet. Just use the method I have given you.
Hope this helps.
