Mantis Bug Tracker (BT) is open-source tracking software which is used to track software defects. But, it can be configured to serve as a project management tool. It assists you to plan, organize and manage resource tools along with its estimation. It is a great tool compared to other software as it is free to start.

However, it is not to its optimum as the browsing is quite slow and makes it more time-consuming. It has features like Plug-ins, notifications, revision control system integration with various minor features. These tools are great assets to the project management. So, overall MantisBT is an average project management tool. So, it is better than burning your cash, I guess.
