Hi.

We tried to produce an AG Listener but error pops-up on us. It does seem to create both the DNS entries and the virtual computer object in AD. However, SQL does not complete the Listener creation.

We have attempted to solve this by:

1. Giving SQL user permission to run and create objects in AD<

2. Pre-creating computer objects in AD and DNS entries.

3. Located this link with repair instructions, but can’t follow the steps properly because of broken use of English.

Hallo Jhon,

Here is what you will need to try:

• First of all ensure that you have logged on to computer as the administrator, for you may be having issues because you do not have the right administrative privileges to run and create objects in the AD.
• Try a simple restart of the computer if you have not done that yet and see if that will resolve the issue.
