Can i uninstall webrep in avast or this is an important tool?

No, it's not necessary. You can uninstall webrep.

It's a worthless plug in. In the web, there are many other such useful plug in. You can use one of them.

You can use comfortably www.mywot.com instead of that. It's a useful and effective plug in.

www.mywot.com is a most popular and well established in this area.

Hello BriannaD,

Actually most of time we don’t use those kind of websites which can spread any kind of virus or malware in your machine. Those websites are mostly blocked by the server, so this is not that much important but if you are a techno loving person and used to share scripts and software than I think it can help you to detect if that is a malware or Trojan or something else.

You can disable it from avast itself by clicking on the additional protection there you will get the option of webRep just click on the disable.

Also you can change it from web browser. Click on tools from the menu and find out add-ons. It remains in different places for different browsers. Just click disable.
