The best and most compatible music player with plugins for browser and other applications is VLC.

I highly recommend it because its fast, plays a wide range of multimedia formats including video.

Its strong, light and hardly crashes.

Its hard to find a multimedia file that it cannot handle.

There are VLC versions for Windows, Mac OS and Linux versions.
