AGP stands for Accelerated Graphics Port. It is the modern version of PCs. For different as you need to use it. Now-a-days AGP is known as PCI expresses Graphics Card. In the modern PCI graphics card there is a VGA (Video Graphics Adapter) port and a DVI port. Many monitors use the DVI port. AGP is used for many reasons.

You have to need a graphics card to play hardcore games. AGP is also used in Graphics designing. Many graphics work needed AGP. AGP card can be used in different process. AGP is not only for gaming it also uses for using high resolution monitors. Normal Onboard AGPs are not capable of supporting the High resolution.

AGP or Accelerated Graphic Port is the previous Graphic technology before the PCIE or the PCI express. This technology was used in the innovation of the Graphic Array. Advancement of the technology comes in different port as well as in different form of technology.

Accelerated Graphic Port was the first advancement of the Video Graphic Array or the VGA video technology. AGP video cards started to have higher memory from 1 Mb and higher. This will allow computer users to load videos more accurate and smooth. High resolution games required to have an AGP video card in order to make the games run smooth and fast.
