Hello,
I have less knowledge about the suitable media player for my mobile. Can anybody tell me, What are the advantages of using Media Player Classic for Symbian Mobile? Is that only about converting DVD file into Windows Media Player format?
Thank you.
What are the advantages of using Media Player Classic for Symbian Mobile?
Hello Cpeter,
Media Player Classic is actually an improvement of the windows Media player. Besides converting DVD files into Windows Media player format, it has the following advantages:
1. Using the right and left arrow keys, one can either fast forward a film or rewind. This a shortcut to using the mouse pointer placed on the scroll bar of the Windows Media Player for forwarding or moving a film backwards since one has to drag the index carefully to the desired point.
2. Using the keys ‘CTRL + up’, one can fasten the play speed of a certain audio file thus reducing the work of changing the settings of a media player as was in the case of the Windows Media player.
Note: The control key in Symbian phones is usually represented by the ‘#’ key.
3. It shares some of the VLC features such as: you can rescale the film to the size (especially full size) that you want which is usually quite a task while using the Windows Media Player.
Apart from the above features, the Media Player Classic does not differ as much from the Windows media Player.
If you had provided the specific model of your phone, I would have been in a better position to tell you on the most preferable media player for your phone since each model has a media player it’s recommended to use.

Martin East.
