I would like to know what settings should be used in PhotoShop to paint digitally. I have tried a lot of combinations but couldn't figure out how to do it. Hope someone in here can help me with these problem.

What are the basics in digital painting in Photoshop?
Painting in PhotoShop is a lot easier than in actual painting. But you should have the right tool in doing this. Luckily, I am here to help you solve your problem.
First, select your brush tool and you got to change its opacity about to 10-20%.
Just use Black and white colors. it is easier to color it later than to directly paint it to different colors.
Paint starting from the lightest color to dark.
after you have your desired result. create a new layer and set its blending option to overlay
Start painting it with color and have fun. Let your creativity be your guide!

In addition to the previous solution, you can notice a color change in between the two colors. select the color pick tool and click it to the new color found in between. Then use this color and brush it inbetween the two colors to blend it more.
