What are computer viruses and its common types?

Hi Experts!

My question is regarding Computer Viruses. I often heard about the term but what exactly does it mean? Sometimes I don't even know if I already have a virus on my computer because there are too many types of it that we cannot even identify which one is attacking your computer and which is not. What are the most common types of Computer Virus? And how can we get rid of it? Any help will be appreciated.

The answer is:

The computer virus is a small software program which is designed to spread from one computer to another and to interfere with computer operation.

We also can say that "A computer virus is a program which can replicate itself and spread from one computer to another".

Viruses can corrupt or delete data or programs from a computer or hard disks.

The better the description of viruses is to call them "malware" or the programs that have malicious intent.

On the other hand we can define virus as "virus is an umbrella term used to describe malicious programs that unwanted install themselves on your computer.

Hi Mdarifsadik,

A virus is a small program that executes on your computer with the sole purpose of corrupting the files on your computer or crashing your system. The viruses can be found in different ways, some by downloading files and other documents online, others by sharing devices like external drives and flash drives on your computer.

Some viruses pose to be doing something good or genuine files but when you execute them, they cause harm to your system. You can protect your PC from virus attacks by using the strongest antivirus which you should ensure that it is up to date.

Some of the best antivirus I know are AVG, Avast and Kaspersky.

What are computer viruses and its common types?

A computer virus is a software created for many purposes, annoy, steal or to damage computer components.

AVG, Avast and other type of security software are considered virus but they are good virus in the computer world. They are created to protect computer from bad viruses.

Human also has good and bad viruses inside us. They are at war and in constant battle non-stop all the time. This can be compared also to computer virus.

Computer viruses can inflect and damage computer software installed and this is contagious. It multiple fast and can be transmitted through email attachment, file transfer and software download.

Once a computer is infected by a virus, then your computer is vulnerable to anytime of issue. Human gets weaker if infected. The computer runs slower if it has virus infections. The worst thing might happen is malfunction hardware failure.

So, in closing state, you better install good viruses such as AVG, Avast and other security software that protect computer from bad viruses.
