What are the internet protocols

Internet Protocol or IP is the address that is assigned to each and every computer. It is the address that is used to locate a computer over a network. You can either use it to send a file over a network or to receive a file over a network. As there is a phone number for your mobile device so this is like the phone number of your computer and if you need to make a call to some other computer then you need to dial the other computer number same is the case here. Once you need to find a specific computer over a network you will find it by using the IP address.
