Before upgrading your system to windows 8. Here are some tips/information for you.

Windows 8 Supports  AMD Radeon™  HD 7900 Series, AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series, and the AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series. But there is known issues found in the AMD Catalyst feature preview for windows 8.
(these issues will be addressed in the AMD production release for Windows 8).

Application performance in DirectX 9  may be slower under windows 8 compared with windows 7 for
AMD Radeon HD 7900, AMD Radeon HD 7800, and AMD Radeon HD 7700.

AMD CrossFireX configurations on DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 applications under windows 8 may be slower
compared with Windows 7 with AMD Radeon HD 7900, AMD Radeon HD 7800, and AMD Radeon HD 7700 devices

Upgrading to windows 8 may also caused BSOD or system hang using AMD Radeon HD 7900,
AMD Radeon HD 7800, and  AMD Radeon HD 7700

Blacklight Retribution (DirectX11 mode) played with a CrossFire configuration may cause
system crash when launching applications (32-bit OS only).

Possible Video corruption when playing movie trailers with Metro video player.
