What are the kinds of antivirus?

Hi,

I have used many antivirus software for many years. But still I have no good idea about antivirus software. Nowadays I am using Avira. Please tell me what are the kinds of antivirus presently exist and how to use them effectively?

Hello there,

Nowadays, unless you are very careful about what sites are consulted and the files are downloaded, there is more than recommended to equip your PC with an antivirus. The antivirus must be chosen through their detection performance of each virus, fast analysis, the transparency of its use and its impact on the performance of Windows.

In my opinion, their ranking should be like this:

– BitDefender Antivirus 2012

– ESET NOD32 Antivirus 5

– F-Secure Antivirus 2012

– GDATA Antivirus 2012

– PC Tools Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus

– Kaspersky Antivirus 2012

– McAfee Antivirus Plus 2012

– Norton Antivirus 2012

– Trend Micro Titanium

Of course, you must run a full scan each 15 days and keep the virus database update to date.

You need not to use may antivirus software if you use a best antivirus.

In my opinion these are the best antivirus:

1. Webroot

2. Norton

3. Panda

4. Kaspersky

5. McAfee

6. Bitdefender

What are the kinds of antivirus?

Dear Pitar Wave,

There are many types of Antivirus software.

Some Antivirus software can detect only spyware and some detects virus.

I suggest you to use such antivirus which can scan spyware as well as viruses.

There are many kinds of antivirus software, I am writing down some major antivirus software here.

Panda Antivirus

Kasper Sky

Bit Defender

Avira Antivirus

Norton Antivirus

Avast, McAfee and many more antivirus software. You should try to use any one of them.

But keep in mind, only latest version can secure your PC.
