The brain of the computer is called the CPU, or Central Processing Unit, or sometimes called the "tower." Â Its purpose is similar to a human brain. That is what carries out the instructions of a computer program.
It carries out each instructions of the program in a sequence, to perform basic arithmetical, logical, and input/output operations of the system. If you compare it to an organization, it is the head, the president, the CEO, or the director.
A computer component cannot move on its own, without the computer brain. Without the computer brain, a computer will not run. For a more technical description of the computer brain or Central Processing Unit, you can visit this link:Â TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF CPU.
The brain of the computer, is where all the processing happens, in order for the computer to work. This is know as the CPU(central processing unit) a technical term; but also known as the tower in simple terms.
Like the human brain, this is where  all the processing is done and also the storing of files.
