I often visit the Atomic Shop when playing Fallout 76 and I see repair kits among the items being sold there. But how come there is only one kind of repair kit available in the store? The one being sold there is the Basic Repair Kits but I can’t find the Improved Repair Kits.
I have one Improved Repair Kits in my inventory which I got as drop from a monster I killed. I thought it is also available in the store.
What Are Repair Kits In Fallout 76?
Repair kits are new items you can get in the game. They are single-use consumable items that can instantly restore the condition of an item in your inventory. Repair kits appear in two forms: Basic Repair Kits and Improved Repair Kits. The first type, the Basic Repair Kits, is available for purchase from the Atomic Shop.
Before purchasing this repair kit, make sure you’re logged into a world with the character you want to receive the item. It can repair one item to one hundred percent condition (100%) without using any crafting materials. You can find the number of repair kits you own via the “Repair Kit” button on the “Inspect/Repair” menu.
The second type, the Improved Repair Kits, is not available for purchase from the Atomic Shop. The Improved Repair Kits are rare items that players can earn by completing several types of in-game content. At the moment, they are only available as drops from the “Scorchbeast Queen”.
You can use it to buff one item to one hundred fifty percent (150%) condition and it doesn’t also need any crafting materials. Improved Repair Kits can’t be crafted, you cannot drop it, you cannot sell it to vendors, and you can’t trade it with other players. To use a repair kit, if you have one, open your “Pip-Boy” then look for the item you want to repair.
Next, select “Inspect/Repair” then “Repair Kit”. If you have both Basic and Improved Kits, you’ll be prompted to select which type to use when repairing an item and also be able to repair items without the repair kit.
