The new SharePoint 2010 is loaded with new features:

1. User interface

The interface is now in a new look with ribbons at the top to find command faster. They are arranged in all new logic.

You can now collaborate and get connected with Ms-word and PowerPoint while working on SharePoint. Different other connection with new tools are introduce.

3. Social Computing

You can now pin and get informed with the contents that matter for you and are of your field of interest.

4. Manage the records, digital assets and Web content.

Manage metadata feature allow you to manage your different taxonomies across the SharePoint.
