Hi! All,

There are many Antivirus softwares that come out in our era. But I don't know which is the best of them. I'm using Eset Nod now, but I want to know what is the best Antivirus available in the market? Please do help me. I need an Antivirus that will not eat memory, but is reliable and can protect my PC.

I need your opinion guys!

You should definitely have Antivirus protection at all times. One that is up to date and able to receive virus definitions every day. One of the best commercial versions is NOD32. Others are,

 Microsoft Security Essentials :
This Antivirus is from Microsoft team and totally free, for Genuine Windows users. It has a good detection rate and most of all, very light on resources. Automatic updates work perfectly fine.
 
Avast! Antivirus :
Avast is often seen as the biggest competitor to other Antivirus programs, as it is very simple and easy to use. Avast is loaded with most features, real-time protection capabilities including web, e-mail, P2P, network shields, boot-time scanning. It is very light on resources and hardly takes minutes to schedule scans. But there is one negative point that you have to register first and it takes time to register. Otherwise it is a widely preferred Antivirus program for many users.
 
 AVG Antivirus :
AVG has been around in the Antivirus market for ages and gained lot of loyal users to their kitty. They also provide an upgraded version, which is very costly but I believe that their free Antivirus program is great for users having personal computers. AVG user interface is pretty simple and it takes a minute to install on your computer.

I will personally recommend you to use Avast Antivirus. It can also detect the popular PENDRIVE virus (Folder name .exe).

There are many Antivirus software's these days, that offer comprehensive free protection which is sufficient for home use.I have tried many Antivirus software's in the last few months and to the best of my knowledge and tests that I have carried out, Avast free edition and AVG free are my favorites. Both offer services that are more than enough, for home use. For Avast, you just need to sign up for every year. For AVG you don’t need to do anything, only install and forget.

I would recommend that you make sure that your Windows Firewall is turned on when you use these Antivirus software's.
