What is the best mail client for Mac?

I have a 15" Retina Display MacBook Pro with 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB RAM, 1 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M and OSx Mountain Lion.  I'm looking for the best mail client for Mac that is compatible with Lion.  Mac Mail lacks depth features for advanced users like me.  Any suggestions?

What is the best mail client for Mac?

Hello Daniel,

Looking at your system configuration. There are 4 Email Client that is compatible with MAC OSX.

1. Mozilla Thunderbird.(Highly Recommended).- There are many features in Mozilla thunderbird like quick search, saved search folders, Advanced message filter and many more.
2. Claws Mail –  It is flexible and very light weight.
3. Spice Bird – Provides access to emails, Contacts, calendaring in a single application.
4. Sylpheed –  Runs on windows, MAC OSX  and Linux.

You can also try Sparrow by Sparrow SAS. It supports MAC OS X10.6.8 and above and recently also updated it to support Mountain Lion OS.  You can add multiple accounts, share files through DropBox and CloudApp and receive notifications instantly.
