Hi.  I have an iMac that has the 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, 1 GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 675MX Graphics processor and OSx Mountain Lion.  What is the best program to change Mac mov file to avi file format?

What is the best program to change Mac mov to avi?

Hi Edward,

MOV is an Apple QuickTime format as we all know and is used to save compressed video files. Many camcorders and digital cameras capture videos in MOV format. But MOV is a Mac video format and Windows does not support it with its usual programs like Windows Media Player unless you have QuickTime installed which can play it. A very good program I can recommend if you want to have those video files on another device is iSkysofts Video Converter. It is a good converter which can not convert only mov and avi, it can convert many others. But it is not free so if you need a good free alternative I recommend MacX Video Converter Free Edition.

What is the best program to change Mac mov to avi?

Just to let you know there are good tools for the same but they are not free to use. You can opt from either Wondershare or iSkysoft.
