What is the best type of scanner for professional documents?

I need to send professional documents overseas and I am in need of a high-qualify, efficient scanner.  Does anyone have recommendations to the type and model that would best serve my purpose?  I have a scanner but the quality is not coming out as I would like.  I appreciate any assistance.  Thank you.

Well, for high quality and quick document scanning I prefer/suggest two of the best models. 

 

1) Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500

2) Plustek SmartOffice PS286 Plus

What is the best type of scanner for professional documents?

There are several scanners for documents. But Panasonic KV-S5016H is the best one of them. IT has an ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) support. It can use by USB port and it has latest USB version.It also gives auto-preview and auto-rescan option. It is very fast at scanning. But it is very pricey too. But when you saw the quality of your document you won't mind it.
