What is the difference between server computer and terminal ?
A computer server or plainly, a server, is the computer that provides services to all workstations, terminals, or computers that are connected to it. Servers can usually be found on schools, offices private or government, universities, hospitals, or any establishments or institutions where this may be needed. A server provides services like grant permissions, allocate resources, access account or user information, software access, and others. Terminal is usually used to point to personal computer or workstation that is connected to a network. It is the machine that establishes a connection to the server or requests information, permission or resources to the computer server. To define it, it is an end-use device which is usually with display monitor and keyboard with little or no software of its own that relies on a mainframe or another computer [such as a PC or computer server] for its "intelligence."
