Hi!
I am a new person that has started trying to stream! I have a Wii U and would like to not only capture what is on the TV screen but also what is on my game pad. I need answered two different questions. Number one, is there one piece of equipment that I can buy that will do both screen and gamepad. Number two, no matter what the answer is to the first one, what is the cheapest i could do and get a good HD stream? I have Windows 8 as well as a Mac!
Thanks!
What do I need to stream Wii U and not to pricey.
Yes, there are software options available to capture gameplay video, but whether or not you consider it cheap is up to you. One option is the Elgato, which doesn't list Wii U as a system it can be used with, but I found a video where someone showed step-by-step how to use it with a Wii U. The product is $149.95, and can be found here at Amazon.com:Â http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00840353W?ie=UTF8&camp=213733&creative=393185&creativeASIN=B00840353W&linkCode=shr&tag=wrestgamer-20&creativeASIN=B00840353W
A cheaper option is Roxio Game Capture HD PRO, which is $118.99 at Amazon:Â http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008YTAGGW?ie=UTF8&camp=213733&creative=393185&creativeASIN=B008YTAGGW&linkCode=shr&tag=wrestgamer-20&creativeASIN=B008YTAGGW. With that you can share videos on youtube, Facebook, or RoosterTeeth in just one click, and it does say on there that it can be used with Wii U.
Otherwise, there are even cheaper options, but they only record in standard definition.
