Dear User,

The newest update of Google translate allows the user to translate everything they need. Even if it's a directions written by hand or a signage saying Wrong Way!. It also has the capability of touch features wherein users are allowed to draw on the text that you wish to be converted to English.

The Google Translate application for Android latest update is the version 2.5. The following are the notable features that make the application to stand out:

  •   It enables the users to take a picture of the text that they need to translate, and then after that they can swipe it so that it can be translated. This is a feature that is available to those users who have Android 2.3 and higher.
  •   There is also the Word Lens feature that enables translation of text into image instantly, and it is available for iphone users. This features uses character recognition. All you need to do when you do not understand something is point  your iPhone camera and then you will receive a greeting that has got instant translation.
  •   There is also instant translation as you type the text.
