Hi. What has the error on damware created an invitation file? I don't have a firewall when trying to access and there firewall is off. What may be the cause of this error message? Thanks a lot

Hi,

The error Winsock 10060 doesn’t necessarily mean that the software is not working. Here are three possible reasons for this kind of error:
1. The Transmission Control Protocol has timed out or in other words the connection timed out.
2. It is also possible that there is a problem in the router if you are connected with a VPN.
3. The remote machine is set in Power Save Mode.

Hi Kurt,

    You have mentioned your firewall, it can actually cause winsock error, If your firewall is provided by an antivirus software or part of a security package it has an ability to create rules automatically. Sometimes rules are automatically detected, since it will also check the signature of the program, so if you did an update chances are it will create a new rule for the new version downloaded. Another cause would be a network problem, it can be temporary or just for a short period but it affects the throughput especially if the program is checking or updating IP address. You can check the firewall, or just wait until the error disappears.
