What features should I look for in a digital camera?

I know there have been many camera models coming out in the last few years. However, most of them seem to boast of having ‘additional’ features not found in others. What kind of features should I look for in a modern digital camera? How can I know if my camera is legitimate or not?

What features should I look for in a digital camera?

You will face two main digital cameras when you visit the electronics store:

 

1) Point-and-shoot (Digital Camera)

 

2) Digital single-lens reflex (DSLR).

 

The features you have to look in your digital camera is that it must have a good zoom and interchangeable lenses. Long battery life also auto focusing like in a DSLR. Check how many mega pixels it have if you're going to purchase a digital camera, DSLR have different lenses for different functions. Go for a high mega pixel camera. 

More mega pixels mean picture will appear less grainy or pixilated. Image stabilization prevents photos from appearing blurry so the camera's image stabilization should be good. Make sure it can record HD videos (1080 P).

You will find all these features in Digital single-lens reflex (DSLR).

Always buy branded cameras as the company provides guarantee of it. Must read the specifications before buying one.
