What is the function of a dlna remote?

Its been a dream of mine to use my media applications using only one tool, which I don't need to go near to that certain device to turn it on or change its settings. I have heard dlna remote and its so called functions, I would like to know how does exactly this works, in simple term if applicable. Also include where can I buy/download this software.

What is the function of a dlna remote?

 

Hi,

 

Digital Living Network Alliance was started by Sony around 2003.  The Sony people created a standard that defines how devices can share data like photos, videos and music with each other.

 

DLNA is designed as a bridge between devices, like running a movie on your PC and watching it over the TV screen, send photos from your camera and send it to wireless printer.  It’s like a wireless network within your own home; with technologies communicate with each other.

 

DLNA members include Microsoft, LG, Panasonic, Samsung, and HP… almost all technology producers.  

 

DLNA for Android (Smart TV Remote) 

A software which can download and install in your Android mobile phone.  This will convert your phone into a DLNA remote or a Samsung TV remote.  Here’s the screenshot.

 

DLNA for Apple (DLNA Remote)
