What is a Generic Host Process for WIN32 Services?
This is a program conflict encountered by Windows when accessing the printer's driver. This is common to programs that are not compatible with the running operating system. Look for the read me file or the help option of the printer’s driver. Read there the System Requirement of the program if it’s compatible with the Windows version you are using.
If your OS is included in the list of compatible versions, the problem might have been caused by an error during the installation process. Try uninstalling the driver first then reinstall it again. If you are still receiving that error message, try scanning your hard drive for file errors. The error might have been caused by a cross-linked file that is a common error in Windows.
-
Right-click on drive C where the printer’s driver is installed and choose Properties.
-
Click on Tools tab.
-
Under Error checking, click on the Check Now button.
-
Under Check disk options, click on the checkbox beside Automatically fix file system errors.
-
Start scanning by clicking on the Start button. Wait for it to finish.
Or, if you have a disk utility software you might want to schedule a disk check the next time your computer boots.
