What Is Windows Server 2003 Backup Software?

Backup facility helps in restoring the data when it’s lost. The Windows Server Backup feature enables a regular backup and recovery solution. Windows Server Backup presented new backup & recovery technology and replaced the earlier Windows Backup aspects.

To recovery and install backup tools,
• Click Start, go to Control panel and select Server Manager. Click on Features which is in the extreme left. Click Add Features which is in the extreme right. (This opens the Add Features Wizard).
• Select Features page, and enlarge the Windows Server Backup Features. For Windows Server Backup and Command-line Tools select the check boxes.
• You will get a warning which says Windows PowerShell is also required for installation with these features.
• Click “Add Required Features”, and then click “Next.”
• On the “Confirm Installation Selections page,” check your choices and then click on Install. (If there is a problem installing time, it will be known on the Installation Results page).
• To check Windows Server Backup snap-in, click on Start Menu, click on the Administrative Tools. Select Windows Server Backup.
• To access and view the syntax for Wbadmin, click Start = > right-click Command Prompt => click Run as administrator. Type: wbadmin /? at the promtt.
