I have a blog website. But recently I am facing a problem with my website. My bloggers, users and friends are unable to gain access the website. I can access the website as an administrator. When others try to gain access it as an user, It shows the error message of 404 redirect htaccess.Â
What does 404 redirect htaccess actually means? How can I solve this problem?Â
What is the meaning of 404 redirect htaccess?
Hello,
It may happen for two reasons:
-The visitor made a mistake in entering the address of the page
-The site has changed address
In the first case, there is obviously not much to do: 404 errors are just there to notify the visitor that the page does not exist! If your site supports 404 errors, it will notify the visitor and allow him to continue his voyage otherwise, suggesting similar pages or displaying a search form.
It is more difficult when a large number of addresses "dead" link to your site. This is probably due to a change of name of the site (moving to a new area) or a change in the structure of links (URL rewriting). And it should be corrected to avoid losing your SEO or loose some of your visitors.
