What is needed to install vst audio visualisation

I am trying to mix music and is using the VST audio visualization plugin. I know that when you download this software, some of the hardware like the sound card will automatically be part of it.  So, do I have to do an upgrade on my computer's sound card or do I have to run an update? If so, where can I find it?

What is needed to install vst audio visualisation

Hi,
You are required .to run a software rack for you to use the audio VST audio plug-in. The output from the audio card is used as the input of the software rack. This ensures that you don’t need to run an update of the sound/audio card. This feature can be found in the Windows Control Panel. On the screen the audio card output is seen as spectrum analyzer or oscilloscope.  Here is a list of suitable VST audio visualization plug-ins:
