Fingerprint swipe in HP computer is basically known as Single Sign On.
It is a service that will allow users to use fingerprint in replace to typing a password on an application or multiple application such as email accounts, website logins, etc.
You can just swipe your finger and the Verisoft program will log you onto the application you are trying to access.
To turn it off, please follow the steps below:
- Start
- Control Panel
- Verisoft Access Manager
On the general tab, you can uncheck the option that says ‘Use verisoft to log on to Windows’ and uncheck everything under Fingerprints.

The procedure for shutting down the finger print swipe in windows 7 is as follows:
1. On your computer, you will click Start > All programs > Verisoft > My Identity.
2. You will then click Log On so as to open the VeriSoft Logon Wizard, and then click Next to begin.
3. You will need to enter the User's Windows password in the Password field; that will be found on the Introduce Yourself page, and then you will click Next. In case you have successfully logged on to Windows, you will need to click Finish so as to close the wizard.
4. Next you need to De-Register the Fingerprints on the My Identity window and then follow the procedure till it finishes.
