I heard OUYA's Kickstarter funding is completed with raising $8.59 million. I couldn't realize the funding. What kind of funding is it?

What is OUYA’s Kickstarter funding?

Hello Lara,

OUYA is an Android based gaming console, and the funding for it turned out to be so fruitful and record-breaking. In a period of only 29 days since it started being used, the system which was designed by Yves Behar raked in a total of over $ 8.58 million.

For those people who chose the developer editions they will be able to start using their units sometime in December this year, while many of the backers should be able to get the console in march 2013. OUYA also plans to take pre-orders from people over the internet so that those units can be available in April next year.
