The Canon CS5600F Color Image Scanner seems to be one of the best scanners Canon has produced, however, it cannot be used for all types of software.

What Photoshop softwares do not recognize the Canon CS5600F Scanner?

Canon's web site showed compatibility with windows 7 so most likely the Canon CS5600F scanner will be best working with windows 7. Anyway, your problem might be on the manner on how you install the scanner. Here are some tricks to the installation.

· Plug the scanner into the computer only after the software was installed. We all know about this because it was written in the instructions along with the item.

· Then REBOOT.   It would not cause so much problem if scanner will be installed first before installing the software because once rebooted Windows 7 will find automatically the scanner and set it up

. Now, your scanner is ready for use to scan pictures and documents.
