What program is needed for embedding a search engine?

 I need information regarding my web site.  What kind of program do I need to embed a search engine for my website? I want it for five different boxes like, for an address but I want only to pull up that address. Do I need a php or sql?

There are search engine  that can be installed in your computer without installing any program. Like the zoom search engine.
