Hi,

What is the purpose of WiFi channel monitoring software Ubuntu? I just switched to this Ubuntu operating system and I cannot seem to find the wireless internet connection settings which will allow the user to view available near WiFi channels. Please guide me along the way.

WiFi channel monitoring software are used by network administrators and network design engineers. They use such type of software to avoid any CCI (Co-Channel Interference) that is developed whenever two WiFi networks are operated at almost same frequency which overlaps and noise is generated which interfere the signals.

This software helps the designers to monitor if any other WiFi connection is using the same channel on which they wish to communicate.

Hi there,

Usually Ubuntu operating systems include this kind of wireless channel monitoring software because of expert’s use and security purpose. This kind of software always informs the system if there is any single slight difference happens. System administrators also use this kind of software for security purpose so that no one cans impost in the network.

Now come to the second point. Did you check your wireless adapter driver! If that is installed properly then it should get the WiFi connection which is available around it. Now also check that you turned on the adapter. I hope this will help you.
