What is the relationship between outlook web app templates and security levels?

Hi,

 I downloaded outlook web app templates to my PC. But I could not  use them and my friend suggested me to adjust my security levels. Is it advisable to change the security levels? Please give me a answer.

What is the relationship between outlook web app templates and security levels?

Hi Matthew,

 

To use high security related settings, Outlook is configured. 

 

Thus, it restricts the functionality of outlook. For this you have to lower the default security settings, but there might be a risk of virus propagation. 

 

There are mainly two types of security levels: Server Level and Application Level. You may adjust this level anytime.

What is the relationship between outlook web app templates and security levels?

 

Hi Matthew,

Security Level in outlook manages how macros are executed when you open a mail. It is not really advisable to set the security level that would run macros automatically but if this third party plugin you intend to use is very important and your Antivirus program is super updated then you can change this setting.
