What’s another way to update my copy?

I downloaded an Avira AntiVir PE Classic from free-av.com. It loads the update window but connecting through a network or manually doesn’t update my version.

This first screenshot shows the location of my file.

Update of the VDF update failed

The second picture below is what happens when I update manually.

What’s another way to update my copy?

Hello Eckel,

Since you want to update Avira antivirus directly from the internet, you will need to make sure that:

• You have got an active and strong connection to the internet at the moment you are trying to update the antivirus for it will need to go online and download the latest updates and install on your computer.
• If you have trouble connecting to the internet, check to make sure that you have configured the network properties correctly, and that the network cables have been plugged correctly.
• If you are using wireless connection make sure that you have a strong signal for strong internet connection.
