Hello Max! Satellite phone or satphone is a type of mobile phone that connects to orbiting satellites whereas a cellular phone connects to cell sites. It has the same function of a cellular telephone and it has a low-bandwidth internet access. Its coverage depends on the architecture of a particular satphone.
