I see most of the people use windows operating system. Because it is a popular operating system. The people use "windows live email scanner add in". But I don't understand why they use "windows live email scanner add in"? I mean, What is the importance of "windows live email scanner add in"?

What’s the importance of “windows live email scanner add in” ?

Basically the Windows Live Email scanner add-on lets you scan documents with your scanner if you have one and saves it directly to your Windows Live Mail so you won't have to browse for the scanned documents on your computer when using different scanning software. Because of this it is easier and much faster sending scanned documents through email.

What’s the importance of “windows live email scanner add in” ?

If you have a Live email account, then you have probably encountered Windows Live mail scanner. It used to be a part of Windows Live One Care, which is a software subscription-based anti-virus offered by Microsoft. It actually scans your emails for any virus infection as well as malware. 

Not only that, it scans even the files that you downloaded from your Live email to make sure it does not contain any harmful threat that may cause trouble in your PC. It supported Windows XP and Vista but now that Live One Care has been discontinued, Microsoft launched Microsoft Security Essential Tool which has the Safety Scanner.
