What’s the recommended Firefox performance tuning tools for speeding up the browser?

Hello,

Lately Firefox has been taking a significant amount of time to load, and is quite unresponsive at times. Would any of the Firefox performance tuning tools be helpful in speeding up the browser? 

I have recently updated versions but I don't see why this would be a problem.

Tweaking Firefox with some custom setting is proven can boost Firefox speed and performance, you can boost your Firefox without some plugin or extension. These are some tips that can be used to tweak your Firefox performance.

• Disable Extension that you don't need, too many active extensions will make a slower in performance and react to become unstable.
• Remove plugin that you don't need. Just like an extension, too many plugin installed will make your Firefox becoming slower and less stable.
• Clear history.
• Clear the cache to fix the cache, open the Options dialog, click the Advanced tab, Network then hit Clear button.
• Disable hardware acceleration, uncheck hardware acceleration setting just like on the picture below:
