Hi to everyone,

What is the shortcut key to switch monitor on? I am currently using Windows 7 starter 32 bit operating system in my Acer computer desktop. I am just thinking and studying about shortcut keys to make things a lot easier. What is the possible key to turn on computer monitor?

What is the shortcut key to switch monitor on?

you could turn the monitor to sleep while the computer or windows is still running by pressing the following three keys at the same time these keys are “Shift+Control+Eject” and to turn on the screen you just touch the mouse or press any key then your screen will work.

On the other hand you could use software for making your own shortcut for windows like LCDoff or monitoroff. You will find similar tools on the following link.
