What is the use of a teacher if robots exist?
What is the use of a teacher if "socially assistive" robots already exist in the market to help children with special needs cope with the demands of their environment?

Dear Abrianna,
Robots are useful in teaching children and helping them in their school work. But it is vital for all pupils to have a human teacher to teach them too. This is because the robot teachers are just designed by humans. Therefore they are not inspiring to the students while teaching them. The robot cannot effectively help the student in the development of the personal distinctions among its students. Secondly it is not able to develop creative and innovative ways of teaching the pupils. It cannot offer the pupils with a positive feedback and encourage the student as a human teacher can do. Therefore, a robot is still useful but not really a 100% option. Human teachers are also required to help in blending up the service to pupils through teaching.
Regards!
