My laptop wasn’t performing very well for the past weeks.
It has been frequently hanging and took ages to open some applications. I performed a disk analysis to check the percentage of fragmentation, and according to it, a defragmentation was needed.
I had proceeded with the defragmentation.
After the process, the speed and performance of my device haven’t improved.
I performed another disk analysis and learned that the percentage of fragmentation hasn’t changed, meaning that the defragmenter was not working well.
Does my device require a disk defragmenter pro to assure optimum results?
When is disk defragmenter pro required?
Hello George,
Disk defragmentation is a process done to a computer with the use of a disk defragmenter in Microsoft windows engineered to augment access acceleration by reorganizing stored files on the disk to fill contiguous areas of storage.
This process cuts the time taken to read and write files to and from a disk and also reduces the time to start up the system.
You may need a disk defragmenter to effectively do the job. You can use Auslogics disk Defrag, Defraggler or my Defrag.
They are all free software's. You can search for the download from Auslogics or Google.
They are easy for us you won’t have any problems.

Hello George,
Disk defragmentation is used to alleviate your problem dealing with a lagging computer. Normally, computer geeks would tell you to go “defrag” to change the storage on your hard disk and speed things up.
Sometimes, defragmentation is ineffective for slow computers. Please look forward at this link http://www.toptenreviews.com/software/utilities/best-disk-defragmenter-software/. You may need this software to provide your computer a good speed in a simple way.

Windows inbuilt disk defragment will only do the basic jobs and doesn't add enough to boost your PC speed. However, some professional disk defrag software like Auslogics Disk Defrag Pro($ 29.95) performs disk defragmentation beyond the limitations and provides faster boot up, reduced program loading time and much more to your PC.
However, I'd recommend you to perform some basic PC speed enhancing operation and see if that helps like, uninstall programs that you don't need anymore or use it rarely, stop third party services that often consumes high system resources etc.
Good luck with your PC though!

If your laptop is performing very poorly, the first thing you should do is scan it for virus infection. Update your antivirus then perform a full system scan. If you don’t have an antivirus then expect that your system is very much infected. In this case, download Sophos Virus Removal Tool and install.
Once installed, start Sophos then wait for the virus signature database to get updated. When updating is complete, click to start scanning your computer. Sophos scans everything on your computer including devices connected via USB port. When a virus is found at the end of the scan, remove it then repeat the scan over and over until it no longer detects a virus.
Don’t disable your antivirus when using the tool. Sophos works alongside any antivirus program you may have. Note: this is not an antivirus so don’t use it as replacement to your antivirus. It is just a tool to remove hard-to-detect viruses. It doesn’t have real-time protection like what antivirus programs provide. This tool will automatically stop working when it reaches the end of its usability period.
If you want to continue using it, you have to download the program again. Once your system is clean, defrag your hard drive using the built-in Windows Disk Defragmenter. Click “Start,” “All Programs,” “Accessories,” “System Tools” then “Disk Defragmenter.” You can also use PC Tools Performance Toolkit to defrag your hard drive and perform other system maintenance.
